Free Rice and a Vocabulary Builder

FreeRice is a wonderful site.

When you go to the site, you’re asked to match a word to its synonym. For every word you get correct, 20 grains of rice are donated to the United Nations.

I’ve played a few rounds on the site (am up to 1000 grains now) and I can tell you - these words are challenging! This would be great for building your own vocabulary, or if you are a teacher, for students seeking a challenge. I cracked some of the words through knowledge of prefixes and suffixes, so it could be incorporated into a lesson on those, too.

If you are looking for a business and/or Web site idea - maybe this will inspire you. ‘Tis the season to give a little back to others!
